Our community, our culture, and our quality of life are very important to us. That’s why we monitor local events that are enjoyable, impactful, artistic, and community-focused. See what’s on the horizon - maybe we’ll cross paths with you there!


November 29 to December 2, 10:00 AM Primary Children’s Hospital - Festival of Trees 2023: This is a festive and charitable event that supports the Primary Children’s Hospital. You can admire and bid on hundreds of decorated trees, wreaths, gingerbread houses, and other items. You can also enjoy entertainment, food, and activities for the whole family. The event is from Wednesday, November 29, 2023 to Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM at the Mountain America Exposition Center, Sandy. The admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $5 for children, and free for children under 2.


December 3, 10:00 am Pet First Aid & CPR Course: This is a comprehensive course that teaches you how to handle emergencies involving your pet. You will learn how to perform CPR, stop bleeding, treat wounds, prevent shock, and more. The course is taught by a certified instructor and includes a handbook and a certificate. The course is on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 1123 E 2700 S, Salt Lake City. The cost is $125 per person, and you need to register in advance.


December 9, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Reading with Raptors. Join HawkWatch International at the Discovery Gateway Museum for Reading with Raptors! During this monthly program, children meet one of HWI’s Raptor Ambassadors while reading a storybook that matches the bird they’ve just met. December 13, 6:30pm "Harmony Healing: Deepening the Bond” A sound bath for dogs & humans: This is a unique event that offers a relaxing and healing experience for you and your furry friend. You will enjoy a sound bath with crystal bowls, gongs, chimes and other instruments, while your dog will receive gentle massage and Reiki. The event is held every Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at John’s Place, a pet-friendly venue in Salt Lake City. The cost is $25 per person and dog pair, and you need to register in advance.


December 10- December 30 Ballet West - The Nutcracker: This is a classic and enchanting ballet performance that celebrates the holiday season. You will be mesmerized by the beautiful costumes, sets, music, and dancing of this timeless story. The performance is from Friday, December 10, 2023 to Saturday, December 30, 2023 at various times at the Capitol Theatre, Salt Lake City. The ticket prices varies, and you can buy them online or at the box office.


December 12 and 13, 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM: Let There Be Peace - One Voice Children's Choir in Concert with an evening of holiday hits and heart warming classics for all ages. Don’t miss your chance to witness the magic of 180 young voices united on stage in a night that will fill your heart with the warmth and joy of the holidays. December 14, 5:00-7:00p.m. Santa's Art Shop 2023. Meet Santa, enjoy cookies and milk, and make a variety of themed art projects. There will be a broad range of activities for all ability levels. Santa will be there to oversee the work. This event is free and there is no pre-registration. This is a family event all are welcome. December 16, 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM: Here Comes Santa Claus! Kids and kids at heart will love the musical gifts on stage—and there may even be a special appearance by the jolly man himself! December 24, 6:00 PM - 11:59 PM: Santa's Christmas Eve Parade & Fireworks 2023 at dusk on Christmas Eve for bonfires and hot cocoa on the Plaza Deck as the mountains come alive— illuminated by the Torchlight Parade and fireworks. Snowbird-9385 S. Snowbird Center Dr., Snowbird, UT 84092.


December 27, 6:00 PM - 11:59 PM: 2023 Kid's Torchlight Parade at Snowbird. Your kids will be given glow-light torches and instructions by ski patrol. Follow or watch the parade as they ski or snowboard in big turns from the top of Chickadee.


December 30, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Birds in the Lab! Join the HawkWatch International crew and some of our Raptor Ambassadors for the opportunity to observe live birds of prey up-close and examine a variety of specimens-feathers, eggs, and claws! At Natural History Museum of Utah at the Rio Tinto Center

December 31, 8:00 PM - 11:59 PM: Ball Drop 2024. Experience the ball drop at the largest midnight celebration in Utah. February 10, 8:00 am: Cupid's Chase 5K Salt Lake City.
